PORTRAITS

The Human Thread

These portraits are of friends, acquaintances, and strangers — people I approached, or who approached me — willing to step in front of the lens. In the space between us, in the conversation about what the image might reveal and what part of yourself you’re willing to offer, something deeper begins to surface. The portrait becomes a mirror: it reflects how you see yourself, and how you hope to be seen.

Everyone carries a story, or something they need to release, before the natural self rises to the surface. That’s the beauty of this work. In the end, we are more connected than we think. Age, skin color, identity — none of it truly separates us. We are joined by the same pulse, the same laughter, the same grief. The human thread is universal.
